FAQ questions

The most commonly asked questions about Sensat.

What file types do you accept?

We accept the following file types: .laz, .las, .dwg, .ifc, .dgn, .glb can be visualised as a layer in your 3D environment. .tiff, .kml, .geojson, .dxf can be visualised as a layer in your 2D environment. .xer can be visualised as a Gantt Chart in the Schedule panel. .png, .pdf, .jpg, .obj, .fbx, .mtl, .tfw, .rvt, .shp, .rcp/rcs, .e57, .pts, .zip files can be uploaded and will be stored in the Uploads and Markups panel. If your file type isn’t on the list please get in touch with our team who will be able to best advise you. We can often help convert files and are always open to new requests.

How does Sensat manage information security?

Sensat is ISO 27001 compliant. Files synced from ACC are processed by Sensat to optimise visualisation via the web browser. Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols and stored on encrypted disks. User authentication uses the OAuth 2.0 protocol, with the facility for SSO, and access controls are managed via a role-based permissions system. Contact us for more information.

How can I set up an integration?

Reach out to your Sensat Customer success manager, and we’ll discuss the best setup for your project. Don’t know how to reach your customer success manager? Click on the red chat button within the platform and mention to your support manager you’d like to connect ACC and Sensat. New to Sensat and are interested in an integration with ACC? mention it during your initial conversations with us and we’ll help you set up from the get-go.

Does my whole team need the CDE software license to use Sensat?

No, once connected to Sensat your files can be accessed in Sensat by everybody, without needing to download specialist software, pay for licences or need additional training.

Will my configurations, rights and meta-data such as version transfer across?

All file properties will be transferred automatically - including the version, status, and any additional document fields that are enabled. Sensat does not provide review/approval workflows so this configuration is not synced. Data access rights can not be automatically synced as not all Sensat users may have access to stand-alone software.
