Sensat, British Land and Amodal create a “digital twin” to speed up planning of Canada Water Masterplan

Canada Water

The project

British Land, working with Amodal, needed to better understand the 53 acre site for their ambitious £4 billion project to redevelop Canada Water.

For the first time, British Land has been able to translate the complexity of this project, and all its building information and processes into a digital world in order to better understand the site during the planning stage.

The solution

Sensat’s digital twin provides a complete overview of past and present site data all in one place, where multiple teams and project stakeholders can easily visualise the entire site and its constraints.

In doing so, British Land has been able to expedite:

  • options appraisal process
  • feasibility reporting
  • community impact
  • risk evaluations
