New Civil Engineer on Sensat’s M25 digital twin improving planning
New Civil Engineer covered Sensat’s deployment of a high-detail digital twin for the M25, highlighting its role in enhancing decision-making and work planning for infrastructure operations.

Sensat introduced an advanced digital twin of the M25 motorway that provides a comprehensive, high-resolution digital representation of one of Europe’s busiest road networks. The digital twin aggregates extensive geospatial data to enable remote analysis, precise measurement and improved planning workflows for infrastructure operators, reducing reliance on physical surveys and accelerating planning tasks.
Sensat’s platform is used by Connect Plus Services and its partners to support a range of operational decisions, including work planning, safety assessments and asset management, with the aim of enhancing efficiency and safety across the motorway network. The digital twin also underpins collaboration across teams by centralising detailed spatial data for consistent use in project planning and execution.
